Tip of the day: Don’t Obsess

I know it can be difficult to regret what you’ve eaten. My philosophy is do not regret things you did in the past because at the time, it’s what you wanted. Do not regret what you’ve wanted, ever. Now granted, you have to make wise decisions but a slip up here and there is not a problem at all. Last night I went to a get together for the first time in a long time and dinner was served at 10 pm. This morning I woke up feeling a bit guilty and wanted to go punish myself at the gym and I wasn’t too hungry so I wanted to skip breakfast even though I know the cons of skipping breakfast but I stopped myself. Exercise should not be a punishment for eating and skipping meals is counterproductive. I will go to the gym later and work out like normal because there is no need to kill myself for eating late at night (and unhealthily at that lol). Obsessing can only lead to disorders and/or unhappy lifestyles. The point of a healthy lifestyle is just that…to be HEALTHY. Mental health is included. I enjoyed that food last night and now I’m blogging. Tomorrow, I”ll still be alive and the day after that too. Do not feel like you’ve failed yourself with one bad meal..or two….or three. You’re human and so am I. We need those cheats sometimes to stay sane and in order to continue our lifestyles.
