For all of us college students, we know that finals week is brutal. Not only are we trapped in the library with hundreds of other students but we hardly have time to use the restroom, let alone eat right and exercise. Finals week proves to be one of the biggest tests in my healthy lifestyle. Sitting in the library for hours on end, made it hard to be able to get up and actually get something nutritious to eat. It also made it hard to get up after a long day's work to the gym. I needed motivation and I didn't know where to get it. The first day I didn't workout. I needed an A on my test the next day so I locked myself up in the library to get it. I forgot my lunch at home that day and my intake was anything I could scrounge up.The second day, I was feeling bad about myself so I packed my lunch immediately. It turned out I had to stay in the library longer than expected and ran out of food and ran out of time to exercise. By the third day I was feeling extremely sluggish. As we all know, once you start a healthy lifestyle, going back is the hardest thing you can possibly do. I was in a bad mood, sluggish, and just plain tired. The next day, I decided to wake up early in order to fit in a workout. If I could not anticipate how my day would go, I had to get the exercising part of the way- at least! Not only did I feel better but I was able to focus on my studies a lot better. I packed sufficient food as if I were going to be at school all day-because that turned out to be true most days. My point is, it is possible to make do with what you are given. Not having time to exercise is just a poor excuse for being lazy. You need to make time for proper exercise and nutrition. Going the extra mile-figuratively and literally-will get your head in the game and allow for you to have a better work, family, and/or school experience! I repeat-time is not an excuse! Everybody is busy! Just remember, somebody busier than you is probably exercising somewhere so get up and just do it!
If you want something badly, you will do anything in your power to get there.
